Flying Arts Professional Development Workshops

Flying Arts is holding a number of professional development workshops and forums for artists over 2012. Topics include project management, setting up and running an arts practice, sustaining an arts practice, finding the money for a project or event, insurance for arts and more.

The first workshop in the Brisbane PD series is ‘How to – plan and manage an arts project or event’. Experienced project manager and Flying Arts CEO Stephen Clark will guide artists through the various stages of project planning and management.

The workshop introduces the principles of effective project management and explains how a little method in the madness will help to produce a better result.

At the end of the session students will understand the importance of planning and the steps in the planning process as well as have practical understanding of writing up a project profile and a project management plan.
