The MAX 2014: Indigenous Art Competition

The MAX Indigenous Art Competition celebrates the quality and diversity of the practice of painting among  Indigenous artists nationwide. The winning artworks will be used to help redesign the new GETS (Goldfields Employment and Training Services) program and bring a new face to GETS Australia, alongside other MAX Indigenous programs. The Major Prize winning artwork will also be exhibited in celebration of NAIDOC week next month.


Major Prize Winner – Apple iPad
People’s Choice Award – $100 voucher of your choice
Honourable Mention – One Sun One Moon: Aboriginal Art in Australia, by Hetti Perkins and Margie West

– Artworks in a painting format will only be eligible to enter the competition.
– Entry is free and artists are eligible to enter up to three artworks.
– Complete the attached application form with a high resolution image of your artwork.
– Ensuring that the images are named: Artist last name_Initial_Artwork title_.jpg
– All entries must be submitted by Monday 23 June.

– Entries due Monday 23 June
– Winners announced and notified Wednesday 25 June
– Winning artwork to be delivered to MAX Solutions Brisbane by July 1, 2014
– NAIDOC week exhibition 6 -13 July, 2014
