Humanising the Abject: Metaphors for the Female

WHEN : 19th - 30th July
WHERE : POP Gallery

Jo D’Hage’s current art practice investigates the metaphorical interpretation of the female body.

‘Humanising the Abject: Metaphors for the Female Body’ is an exhibition that contributes to the feminist critique of female representation. By delving more deeply into the materiality of both form and content in her work D’Hage intends to make visible her interpretation of the multiple histories that living has afforded her—the jouissance of being-human.
