100% Recycled

9th - 22nd December

Grey Street Gallery

Led by Dr Elizabeth Shaw and Clare Poppi, 100% Recycled challenged jewellers to use discarded and broken jewellery and recycled metals to create new pieces which are 100% recycled. The materials used were primarily donated from jewellery boxes and drawers and include precious, natural and manufactured materials.

Forty-one artists have made new works for this exhibition and each piece is for sale. This is a timely reminder to choose your Holiday presents carefully and ethically – most materials are on our planet for centuries or millenia. 100% Recycled features quality original works that have been made locally from ethically sourced materials, 25 % of proceeds will be going to Ethical Metalsmiths to assist with their advocacy and educational work.
