Launching in NAIDOC week around Australia, we are eager to celebrate the diversity and tradition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artwork with an art competition and finalists’ exhibition. The competition is open to all art forms, including; painting, drawing, sculpture, pottery and weaving.
Twelve artworks from the competition will be selected by our judging panel to feature in a finalists’ exhibition held at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence (NCIE). The winners and finalists will be notified on 4 September by phone and or email, and the winner will be publicly announced on the opening night of the exhibition on 19 November. The two major prize winners will be flown to Sydney to attend the exhibition’s opening night. Overnight accommodation and travel expenses to and from the airport and venue will be provided by MAX Employment. The twelve finalists will also feature in a calendar available for all finalists’ artists.
