2high Festival

2nd November, 12:00pm - 11:30pm

WHEN : 2nd November, 12:00pm – 11:30pm
WHERE : Brisbane Powerhouse

Pull, push, rip and ravage the known fabric of reality. 2high will unsettle your perceptions and reveal new truths. These are our worlds, vulnerable and breathtaking.

130 artists, 20 bands, 16 shows and 200 metres of vines will pack the Brisbane Powerhouse for 2high Festival on Saturday 2 November 2013.

Electric flowers, flying boats and wall-climbing performers are just some of the things you’ll see as 2high Festival enters its 21st year.

Circus artists will defy gravity, countless artworks will challenge viewers and an eclectic soundtrack of folk, pop, funk and electro will fill every crevice of the Brisbane Powerhouse.

2high Festival 2013, a free event, will ravage Brisbane’s perspective of reality, steal its breath and make every single heart beat faster.

HISTORY

Backbone 2high Festival is Australia’s one-of-a-kind arts experience for young, emerging artists and arts producers. A not-for-profit event run by Backbone Youth Arts, the Festival provides an unprecedented opportunity for up-and-coming artists from all over the nation to showcase their creative works.

Originally established as a platform to provide management opportunities for young people, Backbone 2high Festival has evolved to become nationally recognised as a model for significant professional development. Each year, the Festival creates an interactive and dynamic display of visual art, music and performance that adds to the vibrancy of Brisbane’s arts and culture. Additionally, as a free, all-ages event, there is no restriction on its potential to expand.
