HISTORY
Backbone 2high Festival is Australia’s one-of-a-kind arts experience for young, emerging artists and arts producers. A not-for-profit event run by Backbone Youth Arts, the Festival provides an unprecedented opportunity for up-and-coming artists from all over the nation to showcase their creative works.
Originally established as a platform to provide management opportunities for young people, Backbone 2high Festival has evolved to become nationally recognised as a model for significant professional development. Each year, the Festival creates an interactive and dynamic display of visual art, music and performance that adds to the vibrancy of Brisbane’s arts and culture. Additionally, as a free, all-ages event, there is no restriction on its potential to expand.
