Redcliffe Art Society (RAS) celebrates 65 years in October 2026 with a special exhibition showcasing past winners of its annual Exhibition of Excellence art competition, alongside five historical works from the Moreton Bay City Art Collection.
The exhibition forms part of RAS’s 65th birthday Open Day on 3 October at the Fire Station Gallery in Redcliffe. Past first-place winners have been invited to exhibit one of their works, while five historical works from the Moreton Bay City Art Collection will also be presented, including a work by the first winner of the Clontarf Beach Art Competition in 1957.
The Redcliffe Art Society was formally constituted in 1961 and has played an important role in Moreton Bay’s artistic community. The Society has operated from the refurbished Old Redcliffe Fire Station on Oxley Avenue since 2015, providing art classes, workshops and an active exhibition program.
The Open Day will feature artist demonstrations, craft stalls, food trucks, live music and more. All are welcome.
