The Gallery on Level 2 will be taken over with bodies joining together to discover what ambitious plans are in store for us in 2016. Get a cheeky look at the artistic program for the new year, collect a happy snap and free drink, then spill champagne over the floorboards.
On the night you’ll have the chance to take a risk on a hamper packed full of goodies, then place a bid on original artwork created by tenants and previous artists of Metro Arts. Silent auction items have been donated by Ali Bezer, Joseph Breikers, Sam Cranstoun, Benjamin Crowley, MitchellDonaldson, Nick Drake, Michelle Eskola, Caitlin Franzmann, Timothy P Kerr, Zoe Knight, Chris Lediott, Sarah Poulgrain, Leena Riethmuller, Charles Robb and Jarrod Van Der Ryken.
If you’re not able to join us on the night you can still make a mark on Metro Arts with a $100 donation! Head to the donations page on our website metroarts.com.au/donate to become a part of our beautiful building. Your name will be written on one of our 96 steps until December 2016, supporting hundreds of artists and arts workers who tread through the building.
To top it all off 20% of funds raised on the night will go to Brisbane Youth Service, a local community organisation based in Fortitude Valley that supports homeless and disadvantaged young people and their children to secure and maintain housing.
