During AnywhereTheatre Festival, Reverse Garbage Qld is embracing the theatrical by presenting a steampunk costume jewellery workshop.
Inspired by fantasy and sci-fi genres set during the 19th century when technology ran on steam power, Steampunk has become a popular medium for fashion and accessories. Steampunk enables you to re-imagine the past to create a futuristic piece of wearable art using salvaged materials such as watch parts, cogs, keys, computer components, leather and broken jewellery.
All materials and tools are provided by RGQ but participants are also encouraged to bring along any special bits and pieces they would like to work into their creation. All skill levels are welcome to participate.
