On the final day of Untitled #5 join Zoe Knight from 1pm for a drawing session after FAKE estate’s ‘Critical Brunch’ for Sean Kenny’s exhibition ‘Woomb’ in Metro Arts Gallery 2.
This will be open format with the aim to figure out your way of seeing objects, the installation and gallery space. You could draw the objects, windows, lights, other people etc. Anyone is welcome.
During this time you’ll also experience a collaborative sonic response to my installation by Louise Bennett and Caitlin Franzmann. Words from the artists below.
I’ll provide slate, fibre cement, tiles, pencils, charcoal, chalk and some cartridge to draw with. BYO welcome.

“For the artists, the considered placement of the objects transform the gallery floor into a universe of layered exhibition and installation history, appearing like a constellation chart. The gallery becomes massive. Every detail speaks. Simultaneously, the suspended black line transports the senses outside the window to the hum of urban earth and beyond, rendering the gallery less significant.
“11th of June 2016, Venus is entering into sextile with Uranus. The air vent outside the window continues to hum and the sculptures wait to be seen.
The collaborative sound installation imagines a moment for listening beyond limitations of distance, conflating time and space. Pre-recorded and present local ambient sounds are blended with mysterious recordings of howling Uranus and whistling Venus.
