Recent winner of the 2016 Rotary Art Spectacular, Anne-Marie Zanetti’s, showcases her new exhibition ‘Transformations’ at Lethbridge Gallery. This collection embodies a new found vitality which is apparent through her use of rich colour and intricate detail.

Throughout her artwork, Anne-Marie focuses on revealing subtlety and simplicity that is often overlooked. Accepting and embracing these moments as they create an awareness of the nature of our reality.

‘The inspiration for these paintings of fruit developed when my perception of a simple mandarin shifted dramatically. I was suddenly fascinated and captivated by the fine sinews of the pith as you peel away the skin, how each tear was perfectly individual and unique, my sensitivity to the strong citrus scent in the air and on my hands, and the lusciousness of the juicy sweet underbelly.  Arranging the pieces in sunlight and watching as it permeates the very depth of the mandarin making the skin luminescent and each plump segment glow.’

– Anne-Marie Zanetti

Where: Lethbridge Gallery 136 Latrobe Terrace, Paddington Qld
