Edinburgh artist Theo Shields has been based in Brisbane at the Queensland College of Art for the past 6 months. This exhibition of newly produced sculptures, videos and photographs will examine how materials behave and their importance in understanding the world around us. Through a considered process of experimentation, documentation and reduction, the work of Shields explores the tactility and malleability of the world in an age of digital connectivity.
Shields will discuss his current work and concerns during an artist talk at the gallery on Thursday July 25th from 6pm – 8pm.
