Traverse: one island. twenty+ artists. one night only.
Showcasing new works from more than twenty emerging photographic artists, Traverse is a collective response to the physical and metaphorical landscape of Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) explored through projection, print and performance.
In those explorations are the artists’ responses to the moments where human and non-human meet. Ranging from the fanciful to the sinister, the humorous to melancholic, the works aim to examine and challenge our human-centric place in the world.
Held at the Brisbane Powerhouse, and presented by Griffith University Queensland College of Art, this one-night only event is part of RONA16, a program of creative events held around Australia to celebrate the natural world.
Date: Thursday 20 October 2016*
Time: 5.30pm for 6pm start. The projection event concludes at 7pm, however prints are available for viewing through to 9pm.
Location: Turbine Platform, Brisbane Powerhouse
*Please note this is a one-night only event with a set start and finish time.
