HASSELL

Suss It Out is Post Datum’s second exhibition of 2016 to be held at Hassell Studio. The show will survey student work responding to the phrase and theme “suss it out” through sculpture, video, print, painting and photography. Suss is a term often used in Australian slang meaning “to investigate or figure out”. Sussing out could be considered an important stage of the creative process, involving using intuition to make initial directional judgements. The term resurfaces repeatedly in QUT’s studios in reference to navigating previously unexplored territory, an experience that can be frightening, exciting, and vital for creative practices.

Post Datum is a collective run by second year visual arts students at Queensland University of Technology with an annually renewed executive committee.

This event is promoted by Bari Festival 2016.
