Clark Beaumont in conversation with Bree Richards

Nicole Beaumont and Sarah Clark began their collaborative performance-based practice in 2010 when studying together at QUT. Through live and mediated performance works, they investigate ideas and constructs around identity, female subjectivity, intimacy and interpersonal relationships.

Late last year, Clark Beaumont were invited to participate in Kaldor Public Art Project #27, entitled 13 Rooms at Pier 2/3 in Sydney. The project saw their worked exhibited alongside the work of 12 internationally renowned contemporary artists including Marina Abramovic and Damian Hirst, Proposed as an exhibition of ‘living sculpture’, this ambitious project ran for 11 days in April and was curated by two of the world’s most the highly regarded curators, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Co-director of London’s Serpentine Gallery, and Klaus Biesenbach, Director of MoMA PS1 in New York. Join us as they discuss the details of this extraordinary opportunity and the work that they created for the project, Coexisting 2013, with Bree Richards, Assistant Curator, Contemporary Australian Art, QAGoMA.
