Upper Partialism #16 is proud to feature French artists Duthoit / Hautzinger.
Isabelle Duthoit and Franz Hautzinger are virtuosic players that focus on the exploration of expressive acoustic extended techniques. The duet is an intimate meeting, not only because of the personal connection between Duthoit and Hautzinger but more due to the emotional tone of this music. Duthoit and Hautzinger sound like opposites who attract and complement each other.
The duo of the clarinet and vocal performer Isabelle Duthoit have performed together in acts such as Uruk quartet and “Where is the sun”.
