Every winter, Aspire Gallery hosts it’s second annual small pieces competition, ‘Foot Square’. Much like it’s big sister competition, ‘Petite Pieces’, there is no limitation on medium, theme or skill for artists looking to enter. The one restriction – work must fit within a foot square, as the name suggests.
This August, Aspire’s walls are filled with over 100 small works – ranging from traditional oils to hand turned wooden sculptures. This year boasts a diverse array of work, and not just Queensland artists either – with a range of interstate, and two international works, on show in this year’s competition.
In addition to the major prizes of Judges’ Choice and Voters’ Choice, Aspire Gallery is excited to announce the fabulous sponsors who have come on board to support this year’s competition, including, Liquitex, ARC Hardware, Spiros Bottle Shop, Stop 13 @ 31, Brown Cardigan Cafe, King Tea, Quava, Yurara Redland Art Society, and Hands on Art.
