QCA Galleries

The exhibition presents selected works produced since 2014 as a result of Sara Irannejad’s research for a Doctorate of Visual Art. Comprising of various materials and visual forms, the works draw upon the artist’s experiences of living between two cultures.

Merging traditional imagery and poetry of Iran with historical artefacts and natural fragments from Australia, creates a new dimension that is productive, interrogative and hybrid; a juxtaposition that acts as a transitional opening, and an interconnecting tool between the two places of Iran and Australia.

Closing Event: Friday, 28 September, 6pm – 8pm

Please note this exhibition takes place over three venues at our Southbank campus: Webb Gallery, Project Gallery & White Box.
