Following the screening of ‘[CENSORED]’, join film historian Frances Bonner and Caroline Ashworth, Assistant Director Audiovisual Preservation, National Archives of Australia, in a discussion on the history of film censorship in Australia and changing attitudes to sexual themes and violence on screen. The film draws on the massive amount of censored material held in the National Archives of Australia. This is a chance to hear more about this incredible archive.

Film censorship is a heated and ongoing debate. Constructed from redacted film clips of vice, ‘[CENSORED]’ reflects on the role of the viewer and the censors who seek to protect us.
