Backbone’s Open Source Residency Program is designed to support individuals, groups or collectives of young artists from any background or discipline to move their practice and careers to the next level and beyond.
2019 Open Source Residents will receive:
– Three months of free space at Backbone’s venue in East Brisbane. (Residency times: January – March, April – June, July – September) OR space for regular events held throughout 2019
– A responsive professional practice and development program with 12 months of development support from Backbone
– Presentation of their work in the Backbone Festival in November 2019
– Professional development workshops with industry mentors throughout 2019
