Nectarvore is a new musical project created by Brisbane based multi-instrumentalist and composer, Gregory Olley. Using a self made software instrument that combines pitch detection and sampling technology to selectively cut up audio, Olley has created a sound that responds to the old whilst presenting something new. Nectarvore combines violin, vocals and digital audio samples to create melodies, harmonised over fragmented clouds of samples and intertwined sonic atmospheres.

Young Adungu Stars hailing from South Sudan bring the African Adungu harp to the stage for their first Brisbane show. If you haven’t seen or heard an adungu imagine a stringed instrument that looks like a boat and has some serious bass.
