This year the RQAS is celebrating the legacy of strong female artists in our society by holding the Women’s Work Exhibition and fundraiser to coincide with International Women’s Day 2019. As part of this exhibition we will be fundraising for Share the Dignity a wonderful charity that supports homeless women and victims of domestic violence. We will be holding two events during this exhibition; the offical opening including live music, a guest speaker and the auctioning off of a work by our featured artist, and a panel discussion of Women in the arts.
Artists across all mediums, styles and disciplines are invited to reflect on the female contribution to art, equality in the workplace and the concept of ‘women’s work’ and produce artwork responding to these themes.
