Des Skordilis: It Gets Hairy

Des Skordilis AKA ‘Skords’ is our first Emerging Artist to be showing in the Cobalt Gallery as part of our 2019 exhibition program.

Skordilis has an innate ability to illustrate her feelings and has done so since childhood, traversing both analogue and digital mediums. Skordilis’ bold lines and unapologetic use of colour embrace the complexities of what it is to be human.

IT GETS HAIRY uses playful, vibrant imagery to connect viewers to frightfully common human truths by combining contemplative imagery with witty layouts. It is a fiercely honest collection of illustrative works presented by Skordilis on limited edition giclee archival prints.
