Deadline:

UQ Art Museum

Two of UQ’s very own PhD students Joshua Rivory and Kristina Boychenko, have joined forces to create an “audio-visual, immersive and interactive experience like no other” with their giant 10×5 metre art installation in.bloom that will be erected on the UQ Art Museum front lawn from Monday 21 October.

Launching the 2019 UQ BLOOM Festival, the life-like structure, combines music composition, interactive architecture and virtual reality to create a unique experience for all who visit it. People will experience the space by walking through it, approaching robotic objects and experiencing the light displays housed in the flooring.

The project embodies the spirit of interdisciplinary partnerships that intersect research, science and the creative industries at The University of Queensland.

The exhibit is free and welcomes the UQ community and members of the public to visit the site.

EXHIBITION DATES – FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
in.Bloom is a free exhibit that will be open to the public from 22 October – 30 November.
