‘A Sign of the Times’ explores creative cultural identity in tumultuous times. Facing political and meteorological chaos, and the end of life as we know it by 2050, this group of artists will explore their diverse approaches to cultural and gender identity through a variety of media — including painting, performance, digital media, sculpture, installation and jewellery.

For these artists, the art gallery is the epicentre for the development of ideas, where perceptions are challenged and new perspectives are formed. With this in mind, they question the role of art in activism, and how it can help us process and communicate our fear, confusion and dread, or be utilised as propaganda to persuade and push agendas.
