Presented at the Latrobe Art Space in Paddington, ‘Connection’ is a group art exhibition by four Sydney artists, Womankind Collective.
In the light of the latest pandemic, ‘connection’ is now more relevant than ever.
“It is something we had, we took for granted and we lost, forcing us all to adapt and navigate”.
This latest group exhibition showcases each artist and their chosen path to explore this theme through the painting process, whilst looking at the world via the theme of connection through different lenses.
– Connecting with nature, or dreaming of grand adventures and exploring open spaces.
– Connection to oneself through outward presentation, and with others through creative authenticity and appearance.
-Connections with and our emotional response to colours.

About the artists: Colleen Stapleton, Margherita, Sanguineti, Marin Loo and Jessica Guthrie are all classically trained artists that have studied and met at Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney. They have exhibited collectively and separately, and have been finalists, scholarship winners, and have won awards in several national art prizes.
