This exhibition highlights the relationships between the materiality of the skin and the limitations of corporeality. Through ideas of sexual ambiguity, abjection, trace and eroticism the artists aim to highlight and disrupt universal themes of sexuality, gender and identity.
The exhibition explores the yearning for connection in a world that condones physical touch and warmth.
Of the flesh is the space where nothing and everything exists, the layers in and within the skin and the transformation of the body all coincide.
Exhibiting Artists: Amanda Bennetts, Bonnie Qin, Kit Syvret, Isobelle Teljega, Rebekah Walkarden, Isabella Zammit
