Disturbia is a multimedia art exhibition inspired by the unnerving and unsettling, featuring 7 Installation Artists and 2 Musicians
Our vision for this exhibition was for the chosen artists to produce a piece of creative work specifically revolving around the event’s central theme being ‘The Disturbing And Unsettling’. Our overall goal for this event was for the artists to have expressed something that they truly find themselves uncomfortable with, a place, an experience, a feeling deep inside, whatever it may be, it’s to give the audience an insight into what makes the artist truly disturbed. Our focus is to make it apparent to the audience that everyone has their own issues and challenges that they face in their everyday lives and that everyone has a unique outlook and experience no matter how far off their grip of reality may be.
The exhibition will play host to the work of 9 artists which is made up of 2 musicians that are making music tailored specifically the events theme, as well as 7 Visual Artists which were tasked with producing a single installation piece of their own that they have put time and thought into, each piece of art will embody something that the artist finds themselves uneased by, whether it be a particular one-time experience or something that they experience regularly.
