flesh, crush is a collection of works that explores the role of self- rejection and discomfort in one’s experiences of catharsis. Through the embodiment of physical and emotional anxieties, Alexandra seeks to both communicate said anxiety and rid oneself of those pressures.

The dissonant voices of a traumatic past loop endlessly in the entranceway. You part the curtains and step through into the present. An 80s synth drones on a bright chord. A few more steps. This exhibition showcases the finalists of the inaugural BMG Art Prize, for portraiture painting highlighting the issue of wrongful convictions. Featuring works from over twenty students and alumni of the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University.
