Deadline: 21 May

Have you ever looked at an artwork and thought ‘I just don’t get it’? Or had a tricky time understanding why an artwork makes you feel, or not feel, a certain way?

Come along to Caboolture Regional Art Gallery and DIG into contemporary art to find out more about the concepts and artworks in Just Not Australian, an exhibition that explores differing ideas and perspectives on nationhood by 20 artists interrogating what it means to be Australian at this challenging point in time.

The session starts with an interactive tour where your guide will share and discuss the artworks in a warm and friendly atmosphere while encouraging you to ask questions.

The 30-minute interactive tour will be followed by morning tea and an opportunity to get creative with a fun hands-on workshop. The aim of the workshop is to add to your new understanding of contemporary art, flex your creative muscle and meet new and likeminded people.

Book for yourself or with friends and enjoy our welcoming gallery.

All art materials and light morning tea provided.

Just Not Australian was curated by Artspace and developed in partnership with Sydney Festival and Museums & Galleries of NSW. The exhibition is touring nationally with Museums & Galleries of NSW. This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body.
