Wreckers Artspace
Rae Saheli’s work is defined by a process in which she uses a 12-gauge shot gun aimed at various supports to create explosive and gestural 2-dimensional artworks.

Of particular interest to Rae is the unique results that occur when she aims her shotgun at a surface, the hundreds of small pellets that constitute a shot gun shell penetrate each surface in dynamic yet unique way.

Rae has been using this technique since 2019 and it represents a synthesis between her passion for the sport of shooting and the power of art to be at once dynamic and beautiful.

Rae hopes to inspire the viewer to reflect on the processes involved in making artwork and the impact of that on the finished work.
