Have you ever wondered what light sounds like? Join Ross Manning at Redcliffe Art Gallery for some school holiday fun! Learn how to turn light into sound at this wild and wacky workshop.
The workshop starts in the gallery where Ross will introduce you to his artwork in the 15 Artists exhibition.
Then you will head to the studio to tinker with electronics. Here you will make light-sensitive pick-ups that translate light into sound.
After building the pick-ups there will be a group jam session. Then go on a sound walk, listening to the lights throughout the gallery.
Experience with electronics is not required and all materials will be supplied.
Kids aged 8-12 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Each parent or guardian will need to have a ticket.
