Join Platform artist Miguel Aquilizan for a free-form sculpture workshop. Learn about the art of assemblage as he shares his personal creative process, philosophies on sculpture making, and tips and techniques.
As a sculptor, Aquilizan is intuitive in his inquiry, improvisational in his approach, and inventive in his use of diverse materials. He attributes part of his love of objects and materials to his upbringing in the Philippines.
Using a range of found objects and repurposed materials, participants will be guided to make their own sculptures. Materials will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring along their own found objects to create a uniquely personal work.
