Brisbane-based artists, particularly those working in contemporary jewellery or emerging craft and design practices, are encouraged to apply for two prestigious international exhibitions held annually during the International Crafts Fair in Munich:
1. SCHMUCKmuenchen 2026
The world’s longest-running exhibition of contemporary jewellery
Founded in 1959, SCHMUCK is a landmark exhibition showcasing innovative and original work by contemporary jewellers from around the world. Artists at all career stages are eligible to apply. The exhibition honours the legacy of Dr Herbert Hofmann and is supported by the Danner Foundation, Munich.
2. TALENTEmuenchen 2026 – Masters of the Future
An international platform for emerging design talent across all craft disciplines
Open to artists and designers within two years of completing formal training or study. This exhibition highlights future leaders in design craftsmanship, including jewellery, ceramics, textiles, object design and more. Participation is limited to one time only.

These exhibitions are coordinated by the Chamber of Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria and funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy.
