Wollongong Art Prize 2025

The Wollongong Art Prize (Acquisitive) has been revived as a national art competition open to all Australian artists across all mediums. It features a $32,000 total prize pool, including the “Top Gong for the Gong” $25,000 acquisitive first prize (the winning work is acquired by Wollongong Art Gallery). Additional awards include a $5,000 Local Artist Prize (for Illawarra region entrants) and a $2,000 People’s Choice Award. Finalists’ works will be exhibited at Wollongong Art Gallery from 6 Dec 2025 – 1 Mar 2026. Brisbane artists are encouraged to enter – it’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase work in a major biennial exhibition. Entry is online (one artwork per artist; $50 entry fee).
