Onespace Gallery

Poodle Boy is the debut solo exhibition by Teddy Horton, featuring a series of short, one-hundred percent AI-generated films developed across her practice over the past year.

Horton’s precisely crafted video works subvert character stereotypes and storytelling expectations. Disarmingly funny and poetic, they apply a self-reflexive and often ironic lens on the tensions inherent in creating art with generative AI.

Highlights include:

  • Stars Align, the award-winning AI video that won the Emerging Artist category at the 2024 Queensland Regional Arts Awards.

  • The Reaper, a finalist in The Churchie Emerging Art Award (2025).

  • Newly developed short films and a suite of uniquely designed movie posters.

Horton’s broader practice includes digital collage works featured in the 2023 Horizon Festival and the photographic portrait Rabbit Phone, Highly Commended in the 2021 Next Gen Brisbane Portrait Prize.
