Draw along with artist Dr Bill Platz in an intimate, after-hours workshop held within the exhibition Olafur Eliasson: Presence. With a live model and Eliasson’s immersive artworks as your subject, participants explore the verso/recto drawing technique — working on both sides of the page to create layered, translucent drawings that engage with light, space, and reflection.
Designed for all skill levels, this workshop welcomes both beginners and experienced drawers, offering a focused and reflective environment to spark or rekindle a love of drawing. All materials are provided, with a drink and snack on arrival.

Dr Bill Platz is an American–Australian artist, teacher, and researcher whose practice centres on drawing. He is currently Head of Drawing at Griffith University’s Queensland College of Art and has facilitated drawing workshops with QAGOMA since 2016.
