The Brisbane / Meanjin Paste Up Festival (BMPUF) returns for its second edition in May 2026 as part of BSAF and Meeting of Styles. Inspired by similar events in Argentina and London, BMPUF invites artists from around the world to participate in Brisbane’s street art scene — travelling here vicariously through their art.
Paste-up is one of the most democratic forms of street art. Artists create paper-based works from the safety of home or studio, then adhere them quickly in public spaces using paste. From text posters to layered collages, paste-ups are often temporary, collaborative and constantly evolving — layered intentionally or unintentionally by other artists over time.
Artists are invited to mail their works (under 50cm x 50cm) to be pasted collectively across Brisbane / Meanjin on 9–10 May 2026. Submissions are free and open to all ages and experience levels. Thin paper is preferred. Offensive or derogatory works will not be accepted.
Mail artworks for arrival before 9 May 2026 to:

If you are unable to post work, a limited number of digital submissions can be printed on your behalf.
This is a celebration of accessibility, expression and the ephemeral nature of street art — where work may last minutes or years.
