Applications open 2 March 2026 for the 2027 Funded Residency Program at The Farm Margaret River, a not-for-profit arts organisation located on Wardandi Noongar Country in Western Australia’s South West.
Situated on an ancient, ever-changing landscape of karri forests, rugged coastline and mineral-rich farmland, The Farm is both a working rural property and a place for artistic research, experimentation and renewal. Studios are immersed within agricultural land and bushland, with access to workshop facilities and natural environments shaped by artesian springs, coastal cliffs and endemic flora.
The residency invites artists to respond to land, ecology and place through creative inquiry and visual language. The program supports local, national and international artists in producing new work informed by this unique environment.
Applicants must complete the online application form, respond to the selection questions and submit a current CV along with one PDF (20–25MB max) of supporting visual documentation. The PDF should demonstrate:
– A sustained and professional practice
– A clear conceptual direction
– Capacity for research, experimentation and contextual development
Artists may include documentation of works, exhibitions, video/audio links, publications, collaborations and commissions. Works from the past ten years are preferred.
Founded in 2017 by Helen Taylor Mack and Darryl Mack, The Farm continues as a family-led project supported by a wider artistic and community network.
