City of Moreton Bay invites artists, creatives and community members to Dream Big: Arts and Culture in the City of Tomorrow, an evening of discussion, networking and future-focused ideas exploring the role of arts and culture in shaping the region.
Presented as part of the Cultivate the Arts series, the event will begin with an introduction from Council’s Cultural Activation Team, highlighting current and future opportunities for local artists and creative practitioners. The discussion connects with the City’s vision for the future through its Community Wellbeing Strategy and Creative Communities Action Plan.
Guest speakers Louise Bezzina, former Artistic Director of Brisbane Festival and Bleach Festival, and Neridah Waters, creator of the Common People Dance Project, will share insights into community-led creative practice, large-scale festivals and the power of participation in building vibrant cultural communities.
The evening concludes with a panel discussion, audience Q&A and informal networking, offering attendees the opportunity to connect with fellow creatives and explore future collaborations.
