Join UniSC Art Gallery on the closing day of Amanda Bennetts: Fragmented, divided—yet whole for a special afternoon featuring the launch of the exhibition catalogue and a new performance lecture by the artist.
At 2:00pm, Bennetts presents Algorithmic Omens, a performance lecture examining digital prediction, wellness culture and the concept of bio-depreciation. Drawing on lived experience, the work explores how algorithmic systems classify and redirect the body through predictive marketing and data-driven assumptions.
At 3:00pm, the gallery will launch the accompanying exhibition catalogue, published to coincide with the exhibition. Covering Bennetts’ practice from 2023–2026, the publication explores works that use time as both material and measure of the body. It includes an essay by Professor Susan Best, an introduction by Megan Williams, and a conversation between Bennetts and Williams. Copies will be available for purchase for $25.
This free event is open to all, with registrations essential.
