Applications are now open for the 25th Dobell Drawing Prize, Australia’s leading biennial award dedicated to drawing, celebrating excellence in technique, innovation and expanded contemporary drawing practice.
Presented by the National Art School in partnership with the Sir William Dobell Art Foundation, the acquisitive prize awards $30,000 to the winning artist, with the selected work entering the National Art School’s significant art collection.
A panel comprising Joan Ross, Paula Latos-Valier AM and Dr Lorraine Kypiotis will review all digital submissions before selecting approximately 50 finalists. The winner will be chosen from the finalists’ exhibition at the National Art School Gallery in April 2027.
