2PP launches Lecture Me, a new series of contemporary art lectures exploring pressing ideas and issues shaping contemporary practice.
The first lecture features Dirk Yates presenting The Living Dog & the Dead Lion: Contemporary Exhibitions and the Legacy of Museum Standards. The lecture will be followed by a tutorial with local artist and arts worker Kathy Mackey on Tuesday 8 September, where participants will discuss the recommended readings and reflect on the ideas explored.
Rather than traditional artist talks or panel discussions, Lecture Me positions the lecture as a critical and valuable format for engaging with contemporary art and ideas.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided, with a recommended reading list available at the lecture.
