FONT is a solo exhibition by Tay Haggarty that reimagines and queers the classic water fountain structure. The exhibition features abstract splattering, misting, dripping, squirting and imperfect fountain forms made from recycled car parts.
Through these installations, Carpark Gallery is transformed into an inclusive speculative sapphic sauna — a space to sweat, rest and reimagine.
Tay Haggarty is a Meanjin (Brisbane)-based artist working across performance, video and sculpture. Their practice explores queer abstraction and considers how reductive forms can act as an open field for reflecting on personal and shared queer experience.
