As part of the prize for winning the Annie Tan Watercolour Award at the 2025 Queensland Regional Art Awards, Rosie Lloyd-Giblett and Flying Arts present Tread Lightly, Listen Deeply, a solo exhibition at Flying Arts.
The exhibition brings together paintings and lyrical drawings inspired by Queensland and Northern New South Wales landscapes. The installation seeks to create an experiential subtropical bushland setting, incorporating imagery and colours drawn from the sacred kingfisher, flowering fire wheel blooms and shedding melaleuca. A lightweight ceiling-suspended assemblage connects the works through the relationships between local birds and flora.
Lloyd-Giblett’s winning work, Earth songs that touch the sky, is currently touring Queensland as part of the QRAA Touring Exhibition.
