An exhibition of images from the 2014 Vast Arts Photography Competition.
With a new name and renewed focus on regional photographers, the annual Vast Arts Photography Competition and Exhibition aims to develop and enhance the skills and opportunities available to western Queensland photographers and showcase their images and talents to a wide audience across Queensland.
The project. previously known as the Channel Country Photography Competition and has been a successful and valuable outlet for photographers since 2010. It has developed from a straight forward competition for photographs into a showcase of regional talent. Vast Arts’ mission is to support, develop and showcase artists in western Queensland and this event is part of that core business.
Out. Back. will launch Longreach at the Hugh Sawrey Gallery before heading to the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Art in Brisbane. The Exhibition will then tour galleries across Queensland providing participants an opportunity to be part of a professional curated exhibition.
