Adverse Collaborations is an exploration of how intimate relationships are built, challenged and sustained. This project reflects on the creative, political and professional ramifications of compromise, control and trust in relationships. Adverse Collaborations is inbetweenspaces last exhibition as an artist-run initiative, and includes artworks by other initiatives, collectives and partnerships from around the world.
For five years inbetweenspaces has supported the creation of new and collaborative artworks by local, national and international artists. inbetweenspaces initiates unique opportunities for artists to develop and exhibit works in environments outside of gallery spaces. inbetweenspaces is visual artists Danielle Clej (QUT Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) First Class Hons, current APA funded QUT PhD candidate in practice-led visual art research) and Ruth McConchie (QUT Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) (Hons), current student Masters of Art at QUT)
