The Hold Artspace

Parallel Universe is Ali Bezer’s PhD examination exhibition, culminating works of art developed and refined over her four-year candidature at Queensland College of Art. Bezer’s visual research project is motivated by her curiosity toward strange audio-visual relationships, being different from musical imagery or illustrative depictions of places characterised by natural or mechanical sounds. Her interest in more abstract audio-visual relationships stemmed from her childhood experience of ‘seeing’ evanescent visions of textures and shifting vestiges of light while listening to Symphonies of the Planets (1992), a series of soundtracks published by NASA featuring ‘cosmic sounds.’

The Hold Artspace Closing Party & Closing of Exhibition Event: 31st October, 6:00 -9:00pm
