Anupama Kundoo’s experimental, sustainable architecture has brought her international recognition and numerous awards. Born in India, she lived and worked in Europe before moving to Brisbane—where she teaches at the University of Queensland—in 2012. That year, she also exhibited in David Chipperfield’s curated section of the Thirteenth International Architecture Biennale in Venice. Working with staff and students from UQ and Iuav University of Venice, and collaborating with craftsmen from Tamil Nadu, she produced full-scale architecture within the walls of the ancient Corderie. Kundoo discusses her design approach and her ideas on exhibiting architecture with Shahmen Suku. They will discuss her upcoming exhibition Cusp: Designing into the Next Decade, which opens later this year at Object, Sydney, and tours into 2015. A joint project with The Dub.
