John Stafford interviews Asia Pacific Triennial 8 (APT8) artist Asim Waqif, and curator Tarun Nagesh in this free webinar session. The Asia Pacific Triennial is Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art’s flagship contemporary art series.
Asim Waqif trained as an architect and worked in film and television before turning to contemporary art. For APT8, Waqif is creating a large scale, site- specific installation
using materials common to the architecture of South-East Queensland.
Tarun Nagesh is the Associate Curator, Asian Art at Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art. Working across both the historical and contemporary Asian art collections at the Gallery, Tarun was on the curatorial panel for the 7th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT) and is currently working on APT8 which opens in late 2015.
